Inline inspection (ILI) tools move through our pipeline network and used advanced sensor technology to inspect pipe walls millimeter by millimeter. They identify and report even the most minuscule changes that may require follow-up maintenance.

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations in the pipeline industry are used for large rivers or other sensitive crossings by drilling well under the waterway or designated area to minimize impacts to the environment and the community.

At Enbridge, we monitor our pipelines around the clock, 365 days a year, using trained operators and multiple computer monitoring systems. Because for us, safety isn’t just a job. It’s a 24/7 commitment.

Climate change requires serious solutions. And at Enbridge, sustainability is central to everything we do. Across our business, we’ve committed to net-zero GHG emissions by the year 2050.

As a company, Enbridge has committed to company-wide, net-zero emissions by 2050. Through initiatives like solar self-power, infrastructure modernization and exploration of greener fuels, “the 2050 target is absolutely doable with the right roadmap.”

At US$4-billion, this is the largest project in Enbridge history. Now 60% complete, the Line 3 replacement has already created thousands of family-sustaining jobs, and created millions in local spending and additional tax revenue, at a time when northern Minnesota needs it most.

These equipment upgrades to T-South, which stretches from Chetwynd to the U.S. border, enhance overall safety and reliability.

The 480-megawatt (MW) wind farm will feature 80 GE Haliade 160-6MW turbines to be manufactured in France. The project is expected to generate the equivalent of 20% of the Loire-Atlantique’s electricity consumption.
